About Me
STORYTELLING THROUGH SOUND
My name is Nick Asprea and I am a composer and sound designer based in the New York metro area. I am currently a part-time audio engineer for MSNBC doing post-production sound for NBC News Group promotional content. I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Elon University with a dual degree in Music Production & Recording Arts and Cinema & Television Arts. Throughout my time at Elon, I immersed myself in all things audio, particularly sound for film. In my eyes (and ears), sound has the ability to completely transform a narrative and is one of the most powerful tools at a filmmaker's disposal.

I am currently open to any and all audio work for multimedia. I have experience in many audio post production roles including sound effects editor, foley artist, ADR recordist, sound designer, music editor, and re-recording mixer. As a composer, I am capable of writing in any style that suits your needs. Additionally, I have experience arranging and orchestrating for a variety of ensembles.
Beyond audio, I am experienced in other aspects of video production. I have produced, written, edited, and directed both narrative and documentary short films while developing deep respect for departments such as camera, lighting, and production design. I also have experience with TV production through my work with Elon Student Television.
Please contact me with any inquires about work opportunities, rates, or further examples of my work. Thank you!
